Pennine Way on Hadrian's Wall

Posted on Friday, 28 November 2008 . Permalink

As part of our research for our Pennine Way North trip, planned for 2009, we visited Hadrian's Wall in November 2008. For the day's walk between Greenhead and a point just before Housesteads, the Pennine Way runs along the wall and thus follows the Hadrian's Wall Way.

The photo shows the open country into which the Pennine Way ventures as it leaves the Wall for its final journey North to the Cheviot Hills.

New trip to the Lake District

We have introduced a new trip for 2009, to the Lake District in England. The intention is to give first-timers to the area a thorough introduction to the region and to give old hands a trip full of experiences different to the usual.

This is one of our most flexible trips. We suggest a schedule that takes in various parts of the Lakes over one week, but this is nothing more than a suggestion... we aim to discuss with clients what they'd like to do, then plan an itinerary just for them. Please see the new trip page for full details:
